The Clusters series of works develops a new approach to emergent structures in composite paintings that I first addressed in  Structure Fragments. The Clusters are modular and configurable, allowing open-ended evolution and adaptation of each work. They are installed directly without frames; selected configurations created between 2007 and 2019 are presented below.

Size of a Cluster is variable,  depending on the arrangement of independently painted fragments. Acrylic and mixed media on canvas.
